Recycled aluminum alloy industry development progress
Among the structural metals used in industry, aluminum has the highest recyclability and the regeneration efficiency is also the largest. Due to the high corrosion resistance of aluminum, in addition to some aluminum chemical containers and devices, aluminum products are not substantially corroded during their use and can be almost completely recovered. And the actual production energy consumption of recycled aluminum does not exceed 5% of the energy consumption of electrolytic aluminum. Therefore, recycling and recycling of waste aluminum is a huge energy-saving project. According to data released by the US Geological Survey in 2013, the United States recycled 3.4 million tons of aluminum in 2012, of which 53% came from waste scrap produced in the production process, 47% came from waste products containing aluminum; recycled aluminum products accounted for the total aluminum consumer market. 35% of the amount.

China is one of the largest aluminum producers and consumers in the world. However, due to factors such as energy conservation and emission reduction and resource shortage, its development has also fallen into a bottleneck period. Recycled aluminum has attracted more and more attention due to its environmental protection.

China's recycled aluminum industry started late, and it was initially formed in the late 1970s. However, at that time, the industrial base was weak and the scale of recycled aluminum was not large. Until the 1980s, with the strong demand for aluminum, China's recyclable aluminum companies have been launched, and a large number of small-scale recycled aluminum plants and family-owned companies have sprung up. Since the 1990s, foreign capital has entered the Chinese recycling aluminum industry. The volume of waste aluminum imports and the export volume of recycled aluminum products have also expanded year by year. The Chinese recycled aluminum industry has begun to accelerate its pace with the international recycled aluminum industry.

With the rapid development of the economy and the urgent need to save resources and protect the environment, China's recycled aluminum industry has developed rapidly in recent years. The output of recycled aluminum has increased from 1.3 million tons in 2002 to 3.8 million tons in 2010, with an average annual growth rate of 21.37%. The volume of scrap aluminum imported from the rapid increase in recycled aluminum production increased from 447,700 tons in 2002 to 2,853,500 tons in 2010, with an average annual growth rate of 59.82%. The proportion of scrap aluminum imports to recycled aluminum production in the same year increased from 34.38% in 2002 to 75.09% in 2010. The domestic recycling of waste aluminum increased from 640,000 tons in 2002 to 1.06 million tons (metal amount) in 2010, with an average annual growth rate of 7.29%. The new batch of recycled aluminum enterprises generally have a high starting point for investment, with large scale enterprises and advanced technology and equipment, which has changed from the traditional family-style production mode to the large-scale enterprise model.

Recycled aluminum consumes low energy, the automobile industry develops steadily, supports the demand for recycled aluminum, and the industry has a low degree of development and a broad prospect. With the support of the state for the recycling aluminum industry, the advantages of its industry development will be more obvious. The steady development of the downstream automobile industry and the support for the demand for recycled aluminum are also obvious. In general, the prospects for the development of the recycled aluminum industry are more optimistic.
