Alcoa expects global aluminum supply to enter a shortage
Alcoa recently said that as China pushes supply-side reforms, there will be a shortage of global aluminum market in 2018.

The largest aluminum producer in the United States had predicted that the global market would be in a "relatively balanced" state in 2017, but now believes that as China will continue to curb production to control pollution, there will be a supply gap in aluminum in 2018.

Alcoa said on Wednesday that the global aluminum supply gap will reach 700,000 tons in 2018.
